| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subsection (a), Section 391.252, Transportation |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (a) A person may not erect an off-premise sign that is |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | adjacent to and visible from: |
|---|

| 23 | 23 | | of the city of Kerrville and Interstate Highway 20; |

| 24 | 24 | | (4) U.S. Highway 77 between State Highway 186 and |

| 79 | 79 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made to Subsection (a), Section |
|---|
| 80 | 80 | | 391.252, Transportation Code, applies only to an off-premise sign |
|---|
| 81 | 81 | | erected on or after the effective date of this Act. An off-premise |
|---|
| 82 | 82 | | sign erected before the effective date of this Act is covered by the |
|---|
| 83 | 83 | | law in effect when the sign was erected, and the former law is |
|---|
| 84 | 84 | | continued in effect for that purpose. |
|---|
| 85 | 85 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
