O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1858 by West (Relating to the disclosure of criminal history record information regarding public school employees.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would prohibit release of criminal history record information regarding employees that obtained by school districts, charter schools, or other entities approved to collect such information on public education employees except as authorized by the provisions of bill. The bill would specify that other related information is not subject to disclosure, and provides that certain related information may not be released to an ineligible party. No significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated. Local Government Impact School districts, charter schools, or other entities approved to collect criminal history record information on public education employees would not be required to release that information in response to a public information request.
