| 6 | 6 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 7 | 7 | | SECTION 1. Section 33, Chapter 17, Special Laws, Acts of the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 33rd Legislature, Regular Session, 1913, is amended to read as |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | follows: |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Sec. 33. The provisions of this Act are, and shall be, held |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and construed to be cumulative of all General Laws of this State, on |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the subjects treated of in this Act, when not in conflict therewith, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | but in case of such conflict, this Act and the rules and regulations |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | adopted under this Act shall control as to Harris county. |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
