| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subsection (b), Section 531.452, Government | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, as added by Chapter 348 (S.B. 156), Acts of the 80th | |
| 12 | 12 | Legislature, Regular Session, 2007, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (b) The commission shall award grants under the program to | |
| 14 | 14 | applicants, including applicants operating existing programs, in a | |
| 15 | 15 | manner that ensures that the partnership programs collectively: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) operate in multiple communities that are | |
| 17 | 17 | geographically distributed throughout this state; and | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) provide program services to at least | |
| 19 | 19 | [approximately] 2,000 families. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
