| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Chapter 443, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 10 | 10 | adding Section 443.0104 to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | Sec. 443.0104. CAPITOL HISTORIC ART NONPROFIT | |
| 12 | 12 | ORGANIZATION. The board, in consultation with any appropriate | |
| 13 | 13 | state agencies and any appropriate committees that are established | |
| 14 | 14 | under this chapter, may participate in the establishment and | |
| 15 | 15 | operation of an affiliated nonprofit organization that is | |
| 16 | 16 | established for the purpose of raising money for the acquisition of | |
| 17 | 17 | art pieces for the Capitol. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
