44 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
55 AN ACT
66 relating to certain individuals entitled to notice from an
77 appraisal district.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 1.111, Tax Code, is amended by adding
1010 Subsection (j) to read as follows:
1111 (j) Any individual exempt under Section 1152.002 of the
1212 Texas Occupations Code from registration as a property tax
1313 consultant or a senior property tax consultant, that files a
1414 protest on behalf of a property owner, shall be entitled to all
1515 notices from the appraisal district regarding the property or
1616 properties subject to that protest until revoked by the individual
1717 or the property owner.
1818 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1919 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2020 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2121 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2222 Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
