O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE:SB2439 by Uresti (Relating to granting certain local governments general zoning authority around certain military facilities; providing a penalty.), As Introduced No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would authorize certain local governments to regulate development in zones around certain military facilities, and would provide for a penalty for a violation of those regulations. Based on the applicability criteria within the bill, it appears it would affect only Val Verde County and the municipalities within that county. Local Government Impact Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
