| 7 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Section 24.118, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | (d) The 17th District Court shall give preference to civil |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | matters. |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 2. Section 24.150, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (d) The 48th District Court shall give preference to civil |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | matters. |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 3. Section 24.169, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (d) The 67th District Court shall give preference to civil |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | matters. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 4. Section 24.198, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (c) The 96th District Court shall give preference to civil |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | matters. |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | SECTION 5. Section 24.252, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (e) The 153rd District Court shall give preference to civil |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | matters. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | SECTION 6. Section 24.352, Government Code, is amended to |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Sec. 24.352. 141ST JUDICIAL DISTRICT (TARRANT COUNTY). |

| 31 | 31 | | (a) The 141st Judicial District is composed of Tarrant County. |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | (b) The 141st District Court shall give preference to civil |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | matters. |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | SECTION 7. Section 24.413, Government Code, is amended to |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | read as follows: |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | Sec. 24.413. 236TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (TARRANT COUNTY). |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | (a) The 236th Judicial District is composed of Tarrant County. |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | (b) The 236th District Court shall give preference to civil |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | matters. |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | SECTION 8. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
