9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 531.048, Government Code, is amended by | |
11 | 11 | adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: | |
12 | 12 | (d-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (d), the Department of | |
13 | 13 | Family and Protective Services shall ensure that the average | |
14 | 14 | caseload for caseworkers in the child protective services division | |
15 | 15 | allows each child in the department's conservatorship to be visited | |
16 | 16 | by the child's caseworker at least one time each month. | |
17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
