77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 201, Transportation Code,
99 is amended by adding Section 201.117 to read as follows:
1010 Sec. 201.117. ADVISORY COMMITTEES. (a) The commission may
1111 establish, as it considers necessary, advisory committees on any of
1212 the matters under its jurisdiction.
1313 (b) The commission shall determine the purpose, duties, and
1414 membership of each advisory committee.
1515 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1616 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1717 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
1818 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
1919 Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
