The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code relating to juror questions and juror note-taking during civil trials. The bill would require the Supreme Court to adopt rules regarding submission of written questions and note-taking by jurors. To the extent the bill would amend court procedures, the rules changes are not anticipated to increase the workload of the courts. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
