| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 382.0215, Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Subsections (i) and (j) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (i) After receiving a report of an emissions event under | |
| 13 | 13 | Subsection (b)(2), the commission shall provide notice of the event | |
| 14 | 14 | to officials who represent the area in which the event occurred, | |
| 15 | 15 | including: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) each state senator; | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) each state representative; | |
| 18 | 18 | (3) the county commissioners court; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (4) if applicable, the mayor or other presiding | |
| 20 | 20 | officer of any affected municipality. | |
| 21 | 21 | (j) The commission shall maintain a list of emissions events | |
| 22 | 22 | on the commission's Internet website that is easily accessible by | |
| 23 | 23 | the public and that includes information on emissions events that | |
| 24 | 24 | have occurred in the preceding 12 weeks. The information must | |
| 25 | 25 | include: | |
| 26 | 26 | (1) the name of the regulated entity; | |
| 27 | 27 | (2) each air contaminant emitted; | |
| 28 | 28 | (3) the location of the emissions event; and | |
| 29 | 29 | (4) the date and duration of the event. | |
| 30 | 30 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
