| 7 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 8 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Section 117.111, Local Government Code, is |

| 9 | 9 | | amended to read as follows: |

| 10 | 10 | | Sec. 117.111. SUBCHAPTER APPLICABLE TO COUNTY WITH |

| 11 | 11 | | POPULATION OF 1.3 [2.4] MILLION OR MORE. This subchapter applies |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | only to a county with a population of 1.3 [2.4] million or more. |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 2. The heading to Subchapter E, Chapter 117, Local |

| 14 | 14 | | Government Code, is amended to read as follows: |
