77 relating to the hours of sale for liquor.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 105.01, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
1010 amended to read as follows:
1111 Sec. 105.01. HOURS OF SALE: LIQUOR. (a) Except as
1212 provided by Subsection (c) or [in] Sections 105.02, 105.03, 105.04,
1313 and 105.08, no person may sell, offer for sale, or deliver any
1414 liquor:
1515 (1) on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas
1616 Day;
1717 (2) on Sunday; or
1818 (3) before 10 a.m. or after 9 p.m. on any other day.
1919 (b) When Christmas Day or New Year's Day falls on a Sunday,
2020 Subsection (a) of this section applies to the following Monday.
2121 (c) The holder of a package store permit for premises
2222 located in a county that borders the United Mexican States may sell
2323 or offer for sale liquor beginning at noon and ending at 9 p.m. on
2424 Sunday.
2525 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
