 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the authority of the attorney general to seek an
 injunction against certain employment practices involving
 children.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1. Section 51.034, Labor Code, is amended to read as
 follows:
 Sec. 51.034. INJUNCTION: ATTORNEY GENERAL'S ACTION. (a)
 In this section, "sexually oriented business" has the meaning
 assigned by Section 243.002, Local Government Code.
 (b) The attorney general may seek injunctive relief in
 district court against an employer other than a sexually oriented
 business who repeatedly violates the requirements established by
 this chapter relating to the employment of children.
 (c)  The attorney general may seek injunctive relief in
 district court against a sexually oriented business on a first or
 subsequent violation by the business of the requirements
 established by this chapter relating to the employment of children.
 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
