1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 531, Government Code, is
1313 amended by adding Sections 531.0091, 531.0092, and 531.0093 to read
1414 as follows:
1515 Sec. 531.0091. TRAINING FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES
1616 AGENCY EMPLOYEES. (a) Not later than the 30th day after the date
1717 an employee of a health and human services agency begins employment
1818 with the agency, the employee shall complete human
1919 resources-required training relating to the agency's policies and
2020 procedures and the employee's job responsibilities.
2121 (b) Not later than the 30th day after the date an employee of
2222 a health and human services agency assumes new job
2323 responsibilities, the employee shall complete any human
2424 resources-required training relating to the agency's policies and
2525 procedures and the employee's job responsibilities.
2626 Sec. 531.0092. EXIT INTERVIEWS FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN
2727 SERVICES AGENCY EMPLOYEES. Each health and human services agency
2828 shall make a reasonable effort to inform an employee who
2929 voluntarily terminates employment with the agency that the agency
3030 is required to conduct an exit interview under Section 651.007.
3131 Sec. 531.0093. NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF HEALTH AND HUMAN
3232 SERVICES AGENCY EMPLOYEE. Not later than the fifth business day
3333 after the date an employee of a health and human services agency
3434 terminates employment with the agency, the employee's supervisor
3535 shall report the employee's termination to the payroll director of
3636 the agency or that person's designee.
3737 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
