| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 771 has been adopted by the senate |

| 6 | 6 | | and the house of representatives and is being prepared for |

|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The bill contains technical errors that should be |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | corrected; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | RESOLVED by the 81st Legislature of the State of Texas, That |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the enrolling clerk of the senate be instructed to correct S.B. No. |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 771 by striking the SECTION of the bill that amends Section 6.411, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Tax Code, and substituting the following appropriately numbered |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | SECTION: |

| 15 | 15 | | SECTION ____. Section 6.411, Tax Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | amending Subsections (c) and (d) and adding Subsection (c-1) to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | read as follows: |

| 18 | 18 | | (c) This section does not apply to communications [that do |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | not discuss the specific evidence, argument, facts, merits, or |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | property involved in a hearing currently pending before the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | appraisal review board or to communications] between the board and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | its legal counsel. |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (c-1) This section does not apply to communications |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | involving the chief appraiser or another employee of an appraisal |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | district and a member of the appraisal review board that are |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | specifically limited to and involve administrative, clerical, or |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | logistical matters related to the scheduling and operation of |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | hearings, the processing of documents, the issuance of orders, |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | notices, and subpoenas, and the operation of the appraisal review |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | board. |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (d) An offense under this section is a Class A [C] |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | misdemeanor. |
