| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | citizens of Normangee in mourning the loss of John E. McAdams, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | who died April 16, 2009, at the age of 82; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, John Ethel McAdams was born in Grimes County on |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | January 27, 1927, to Georgia and John McAdams; he lived most of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | his life in Madison County and attended school in the High |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Prairie community; he was married to the late Jessie Mitchell |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | McAdams; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. McAdams worked in road construction and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | farming; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, training horses, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | spending time with family and friends; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, He was baptized at the Chapel Hill Baptist Church |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | when he was young; in later years he was a member of Sweet Zion |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Baptist Church in Madisonville; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | John McAdams will be remembered by all who knew him for his |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel; a devoted father and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | grandfather, he leaves behind memories that will be treasured |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | family of John E. McAdams: his sons and daughter-in-law, Robert |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | McAdams and Reginal Allen and his wife, Eugina; his daughters and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | son-in-law, Ruby Nealy, Carol Brooks, and Sheila Byrd and her |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | husband, Richard; his sister, Loree Webber; and his eight |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and, be it further |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |

| 32 | 32 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |

| 33 | 33 | | Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
