| 6 | 6 | | Legislature, Regular Session, 2009, That Senate Rule 12.03 be |

| 7 | 7 | | suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the |

| 8 | 8 | | conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on |

| 9 | 9 | | House Bill No. 2275, relating to creating a task force to develop |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | uniform standards for subdivisions in the unincorporated areas |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | of counties near the international border and in economically |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | distressed counties, to consider and take action on the following |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | matters: |

| 14 | 14 | | (1) Senate Rule 12.03(2) is suspended to permit the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | committee to omit text not in disagreement in proposed Subsection |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (a), SECTION 2 of the bill to read as follows: |

| 17 | 17 | | (a) The Task Force on Uniform County Subdivision |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Regulation is composed of 23 members as follows: |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Explanation: The omission of text is necessary because |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | not all members of the task force will be appointed. |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (2) Senate Rules 12.03(1), (2), and (3) are suspended to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | permit the committee to change and omit text not in disagreement |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and to add text in proposed Subdivision (6), Subsection (a), |

| 24 | 24 | | SECTION 2 of the bill to read as follows: |

| 25 | 25 | | (6) the secretary of state or a designee of the |

| 26 | 26 | | secretary of state who has expertise in matters affecting |
|---|

| 28 | 28 | | Explanation: The alteration of text is necessary to allow |

| 29 | 29 | | the secretary of state or a designee of the secretary of state to |

| 31 | 31 | | (3) Senate Rules 12.03(1) and (2) are suspended to permit |

| 40 | 40 | | all members of the task force will be appointed. The change of |

| 41 | 41 | | the terms "board considers" to "members consider" is necessary to |
