| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Charles and |

| 3 | 3 | | Beverly Terrell placed great faith and trust in one another, and |

| 4 | 4 | | they have been amply rewarded, as they are celebrating their 50th |

| 5 | 5 | | wedding anniversary; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Charles T. Terrell and Beverly Kennedy were |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | married on May 30, 1959; the world has changed considerably |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | during the years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Terrell have |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | continued to cherish traditional family values; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | sorrows of everyday life; even faced with the prospect of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Charles's permanent paralysis after the onset of Guillain-Barre |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | syndrome, they nevertheless maintained their hope in the future |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | and emerged from the experience stronger than before; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Terrell have been blessed with a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | wonderful family; their children, Cathy Williamson and Charles |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Terrell, Jr., and their six grandchildren have been a source of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | much pride and joy; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Terrell |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to Mr. and |

| 24 | 24 | | Mrs. Terrell on their 50th wedding anniversary; and, be it |
