| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Craig Brandenberger of Boy Scouts of America |

| 3 | 3 | | Troop No. 209 has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |

| 4 | 4 | | accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | criteria, Mr. Brandenberger earned the requisite 21 merit badges |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | and successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | his community, which consisted of making improvements to the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | memorial garden at Holy Covenant United Methodist Church; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | outstanding leadership ability throughout his scouting career, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | winning the respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | worked toward the highest rank that scouting offers; he is a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | member of the National Honor Society and National Art Honor |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Society at Faith West Academy; he serves his church as sound |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | technician and as a member of youth council, youth praise band, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and handbell choir, and he plans to study marine biology at Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | A&M University at Galveston after his graduation; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Brandenberger's dedication to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | excellence and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | proven him worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | indeed reflect with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
