SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 104 In Memory of Estella Jackson Schraub WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Seguin in mourning the loss of Estella Jackson Schraub, who died November 28, 2008, at the age of 75; and WHEREAS, Estella Schraub was born February 18, 1933, in Wilson County, Texas; she was a member of the 1949 graduating class of Stockdale High School; and WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced her faith in her daily life, Mrs. Schraub was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church; she was an avid bridge player and participated in numerous community activities, most recently by volunteering at the Christian Cupboard; and WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, Mrs. Schraub gave generously to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and graciousness will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife and mother, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Estella Jackson Schraub: her loving husband of 55 years, Judge B. B. Schraub; her son, Fred Schraub; her sister, Faye Talley; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Stokley and Lillian Jackson, Richard and Jackie Jackson, and Earl Jackson; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Estella Jackson Schraub.
