1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1040
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize Benjamin James Rivera of the Boy Scouts of America, who
4	4	has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, a level achieved by only
5	5	five out of every 100 boys in the program; and
6	6	WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding
7	7	leadership through the planning and execution of a service
8	8	project that has benefited his community; and
9	9	WHEREAS, Benjamin advanced through the ranks of
10	10	Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before
11	11	reaching the rank of Eagle Scout by following the principles of
12	12	the Scout oath and promise; and
13	13	WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, this personable young
14	14	man has brought great distinction to himself, his family, his
15	15	troop, his community, and his state; and
16	16	WHEREAS, Benjamin is an exceptional representative of the
17	17	State of Texas and a sterling example to all who have the good
18	18	fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
20	20	Legislature, hereby commend Benjamin James Rivera on earning the
21	21	rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great
22	22	achievement; and, be it further
23	23	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
24	24	Eagle Scout Rivera as an expression of high regard from the Texas
25	25	Senate.
