SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1045
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize KellerFest! 2009 and to join the citizens of Keller in
paying tribute to the members of the United States Armed Forces; and
WHEREAS, KellerFest is being hosted by the Greater Keller
Chamber of Commerce and takes place May 29 through 31 at the
Keller Town Hall; and
WHEREAS, The hometown event honors the courageous men and
women who serve this nation and who protect and defend the ideals
of this country; and
WHEREAS, The festivities include fireworks, arts and
crafts booths, carnival rides, a classic car show, a battle of
the bands, live music, a dog show, and a salute to the troops; and
WHEREAS, The citizens of Texas and our nation are grateful
for the immeasurable sacrifices the members of our armed forces
make on our behalf on a daily basis; they risk their lives for the
sake of our country, and they deserve to be honored for their
dedication, tenacity, and courage; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby commend the members of our country's armed
forces for their patriotism and for the heroic missions they
undertake to preserve the rights and freedoms that we enjoy as
Americans; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as a
tribute to KellerFest and the military men and women the festival
honors.
