| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize KellerFest! 2009 and to join the citizens of Keller in |

| 4 | 4 | | paying tribute to the members of the United States Armed Forces; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, KellerFest is being hosted by the Greater Keller |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Chamber of Commerce and takes place May 29 through 31 at the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Keller Town Hall; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The hometown event honors the courageous men and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | women who serve this nation and who protect and defend the ideals |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | of this country; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The festivities include fireworks, arts and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | crafts booths, carnival rides, a classic car show, a battle of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the bands, live music, a dog show, and a salute to the troops; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The citizens of Texas and our nation are grateful |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | for the immeasurable sacrifices the members of our armed forces |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | make on our behalf on a daily basis; they risk their lives for the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | sake of our country, and they deserve to be honored for their |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | dedication, tenacity, and courage; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of our country's armed |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | forces for their patriotism and for the heroic missions they |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | undertake to preserve the rights and freedoms that we enjoy as |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Americans; and, be it further |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as a |

| 25 | 25 | | tribute to KellerFest and the military men and women the festival |
|---|
