1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1048
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
3	3	congratulating Edmund English of Boy Scouts of America Troop 986,
4	4	who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and
5	5	WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the elite
6	6	corps of Eagle Scouts; only five out of every 100 Boy Scouts earn
7	7	this distinguished honor; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
9	9	promise, Edmund advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot,
10	10	Second, First, Star, and Life classes to Eagle Scout; and
11	11	WHEREAS, Edmund is an outstanding student, an active
12	12	volunteer, and a devoted member of his church; he demonstrated
13	13	his leadership skills by completing a service project that has
14	14	benefited his community; and
15	15	WHEREAS, By earning the coveted Eagle Badge, this fine
16	16	young man brings honor to himself, his family, and his community;
17	17	he is an exemplary role model for his fellow Scouts and for the
18	18	young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
20	20	Legislature, hereby congratulate Edmund English on attaining the
21	21	rank of Eagle Scout and commend him on this great achievement;
22	22	and, be it further
23	23	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
24	24	Eagle Scout English as an expression of high regard from the
25	25	Texas Senate.
