| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Taylor Guterrez of Pearland on the occasion of her |

| 4 | 4 | | graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Taylor's graduation is the culmination of |

| 6 | 6 | | diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge her and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | broaden her knowledge; she is celebrating this milestone by |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | participating in commencement exercises on June 4, 2009, in the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | R. L. Davis Auditorium; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, During her high school years, Taylor has earned |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Gold and Silver Honor Roll certificates and has excelled in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | sports, particularly wrestling, track, and softball; in her |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | senior year, she served as captain of the wrestling team; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Taylor can take pride in having earned her diploma |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | from the Texas School for the Deaf; the school is respected in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | academic circles in Texas, as well as nationally, for its quality |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of instruction and dedication to excellence in teaching; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Taylor now can face the future with confidence |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | that her proven abilities, learning skills, and acquired |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | knowledge will stand her in good stead in whatever vocation she |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | chooses; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Taylor Guterrez on her |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to her |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
