11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1059
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize Taylor Guterrez of Pearland on the occasion of her
44 graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf; and
55 WHEREAS, Taylor's graduation is the culmination of
66 diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge her and
77 broaden her knowledge; she is celebrating this milestone by
88 participating in commencement exercises on June 4, 2009, in the
99 R. L. Davis Auditorium; and
1010 WHEREAS, During her high school years, Taylor has earned
1111 Gold and Silver Honor Roll certificates and has excelled in
1212 sports, particularly wrestling, track, and softball; in her
1313 senior year, she served as captain of the wrestling team; and
1414 WHEREAS, Taylor can take pride in having earned her diploma
1515 from the Texas School for the Deaf; the school is respected in
1616 academic circles in Texas, as well as nationally, for its quality
1717 of instruction and dedication to excellence in teaching; and
1818 WHEREAS, Taylor now can face the future with confidence
1919 that her proven abilities, learning skills, and acquired
2020 knowledge will stand her in good stead in whatever vocation she
2121 chooses; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
2323 Legislature, hereby congratulate Taylor Guterrez on her
2424 graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to her
2525 best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2626 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2727 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
