| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Erik Morales and Bea Zarate on the occasion of the |

| 4 | 4 | | grand opening and ribbon-cutting of E'z Barber Shop and The Nail |

| 5 | 5 | | Place; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 1997 graduate of Galena Park High School, Erik |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | opened a barber shop in Galena Park shortly after earning his |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | barber's license; with hard work and diligence, he was able to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | add three barbers to his staff, and his shop became a popular |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | neighborhood institution; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Drawing inspiration from his mother and mentor, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Bea Zarate, Erik decided to expand his shop; known throughout the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | area as "Ms. Bea," she is an outstanding businessperson in her |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | own right, having owned and operated a successful business for 37 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | years; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, This dynamic family saw the possibilities of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | combining a barber shop and nail salon so that patrons would not |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | have to leave the Galena Park area for these services, and they |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | created E'z Barber Shop and The Nail Place to meet this ongoing |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | need; they are truly deserving of recognition for their |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | entrepreneurial spirit and their devotion to service and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | quality; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend Erik Morales and Bea Zarate on their |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | business success and their service to the Galena Park community |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and extend to them best wishes for a memorable opening ceremony |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | for E'z Barber Shop and The Nail Place; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
