SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1112
WHEREAS, Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of
League City is celebrating the dedication of its Family Life
Center on July 26, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Throughout its history, Greater New Hope has
provided its members with myriad opportunities for spiritual
growth and fellowship, and the new Family Life Center will enable
the church to even better serve the community; and
WHEREAS, The congregation has benefited from the able
leadership of a number of dedicated pastors, and today that
tradition of service continues under the direction of Dr. William
Henry King III; and
WHEREAS, Sustained by a common purpose, warm fellowship,
and inspired teaching, the members of Greater New Hope have
remained steadfast in their faith and in their ministry to the
world around them, and it is a pleasure to join in commemorating
this special milestone in the life of their church; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby honor Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist
Church on the dedication of its new Family Life Center and extend
sincere best wishes to the congregation for a memorable and
meaningful event; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for the church as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
