SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1114
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Laura Frances Bright on her completion of the doctoral
program in advertising at the College of Communications at The
University of Texas at Austin; and
WHEREAS, Laura Bright started as an undergraduate student
at The University of Texas at Austin in August of 1995 and
graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from the
College of Communications in May, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Laura Bright began her postgraduate studies in
August of 2002, graduating with a Master of Arts degree in
Advertising from the College of Communications in May, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Laura Bright completed her scholastic journey
when she earned her Ph.D. in Advertising from the College of
Communications on May 23, 2009; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby congratulate Dr. Laura Frances Bright on
this exceptional academic accomplishment and extend to her best
wishes for future success as she pursues a career in digital
advertising; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of high esteem from the Texas Senate.
