| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Paul Benjamin Keele, Jr., on the grand occasion of his |

| 4 | 4 | | 80th birthday; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is well known for |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | his warmth and generosity of spirit, and he is a respected |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | citizen of San Angelo; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Paul Benjamin Keele, Jr., was born in El Dorado on |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | February 13, 1929, to Paul B. Keele, Sr., and LaFayette Keele; a |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | graduate of Lubbock High School, he earned a pharmacy degree from |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | The University of Texas and practiced his profession for many |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | years in Big Spring and Midland; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Keele married Ellen Coats on July 28, 1950, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and the couple raised three children, who have blessed them with |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 10 grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practices his faith in his |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | daily life, Mr. Keele has served as an elder and a preacher for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | the Church of Christ; during his working years he spent countless |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | weekends and vacations traveling from place to place and church |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | to church, sharing his testimony and his love with all those he |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | met; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his life, Mr. Keele has been dedicated |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | to the service of others, and he has always been an exemplary |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | father and provider for his family; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of his community, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Mr. Keele is noted for his courage, his wisdom, his compassion |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | for others, and his enthusiasm for living each day to the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | fullest; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature, hereby commend Paul Benjamin Keele, Jr., on a life |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | well lived and extend to him best wishes for a memorable 80th |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | birthday; and, be it further |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
