| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | citizens of El Paso in mourning the loss of Ofelia L. Grenier, who |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | died January 16, 2009, at the age of 73; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary citizen of El Paso since 1970, Mrs. |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Grenier was respected in the community for her many |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | accomplishments; she enriched all who knew her with her warmth |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and grace; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ofelia Grenier was a woman of courage, strength, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and compassion; she gave generously to others, and her wisdom and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew her; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A devoted mother and grandmother, she will long be |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | remembered with affection and admiration by all who were |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |

| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |

| 20 | 20 | | family of Ofelia L. Grenier: her mother, Angelina Licon; her |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | sons and daughters-in-law, Maurice and Pilar Grenier and Richard |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and Marisa Grenier; her daughter, Lise M. Rocha; her sisters, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Alicia, Marta, Gloria, Alma, and Hortensia; her brothers, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Rafael, Pedro, and Luis; and her grandchildren, Nicole, Jos |
