SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 193 In Memory of Reynaldo Esparza Ramirez, Jr. WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of San Benito in mourning the loss of Reynaldo Esparza "Ray" Ramirez, Jr., who died August 22, 2008, at the age of 52; and WHEREAS, An exemplary citizen, Ray Ramirez was respected and admired in the community for his many achievements; the owner of Ray's Bar-B-Q in his hometown of San Benito, Mr. Ramirez was known for his generosity and compassion toward those seeking help; and WHEREAS, A man of strength, kindness, and wisdom, Mr. Ramirez gave unselfishly to others, and his warm smile, enthusiasm for life, and good humor will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and WHEREAS, Mr. Ramirez was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he will continue to live in the hearts and minds of those he left behind; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Reynaldo Esparza Ramirez, Jr.: his wife of 30 years, Beatriz Flores Ramirez; his daughter and son-in-law, Liliana and Edward Vidaurre; his son, Reynaldo Ramirez III; his granddaughter, Luisa Isabella Vidaurre; his brothers, Francisco, Alberto, Leonel, and Gustavo Ramirez; and his sisters, Leonor Vaid, Mickey Corcoran, Celeste Ramirez, and Mary Lou Torres; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Reynaldo Esparza Ramirez, Jr. Lucio ________________________________ President of the Senate I hereby certify that the above Resolution was adopted by the Senate on February 11, 2009, by a rising vote. ________________________________ Secretary of the Senate ________________________________ Member, Texas Senate
