| 3 | 3 | | recognize Dreams Fulfilled Through Music and to welcome members |

| 4 | 4 | | of the Alamo Angels and representatives of the Mosaic Ringers in |

| 5 | 5 | | honor of their upcoming fifth annual performance in the rotunda |

| 6 | 6 | | of the State Capitol; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Dreams Fulfilled Through Music is a registered |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to the encouragement |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | of personal accomplishments, social growth, and self-esteem of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | persons with special needs through adaptive music education and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | performance opportunities; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Alamo Angels and the Mosaic Ringers celebrate |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | life by sharing their talents throughout South Texas and our |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | nation; they perform for the men and women of our armed forces, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | for the elderly and disabled in retirement and nursing homes, and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | for numerous civic organizations; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The Alamo Angels and the Mosaic Ringers annually |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | provide special musical entertainment at the rotunda of the State |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Capitol of Texas for legislators and staff, Austin residents, and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Capitol visitors; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The Alamo Angels will serve the State of Texas in |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 2009 as goodwill ambassadors to our veterans at the Department of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Veterans Affairs Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, during their |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | competition at the 71st annual American Accordionists' National |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Convention; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, hereby recognize the Alamo Angels and the Mosaic |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Ringers as ambassadors of goodwill and encourage all Texans to |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | appreciate the special talents of these young musicians and wish |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | them well as they represent our state in Memphis, Tennessee, and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | throughout the State of Texas; and, be it further |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | honor of Dreams Fulfilled Through Music, the Alamo Angels, and |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | the Mosaic Ringers. |
