1	1	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 23
2	2	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3	3	recognize Lance Corporal David Molina on the occasion of the
4	4	statewide commemoration of Wounded Warrior Day at the State
5	5	Capitol on January 27, 2009; and
6	6	WHEREAS, Wounded Warrior Day is an opportunity for Texans
7	7	everywhere to be reminded of the valor and dedication to freedom
8	8	that the members of the United States armed forces have shown on
9	9	behalf of our country; and
10	10	WHEREAS, Lance Corporal David Molina was injured on
11	11	February 2, 2005, while serving our nation in Iraq; a member of
12	12	Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, he
13	13	exhibited courage and dedication while defending our nation's
14	14	democratic ideals; and
15	15	WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Molina was wounded while bravely
16	16	carrying out his duties in service to our country, and he is truly
17	17	deserving of recognition for his patriotism and his sacrifice;
18	18	now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
20	20	Legislature, hereby commend Lance Corporal David Molina on his
21	21	bravery, his dedication to duty, and his sacrifice in the service
22	22	of our nation and extend to him sincere gratitude for his
23	23	dedication to our country and best wishes for all his future
24	24	endeavors; and, be it further
25	25	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
26	26	him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
