| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Texas Camino Real District Export Council on the |

| 4 | 4 | | occasion of its 10th anniversary as an independent council; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Originally established as a branch of the North |

| 6 | 6 | | Texas District Export Council, the Texas Camino Real District |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Export Council is a select group of trade experts that volunteer |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | their time and expertise in order to provide leadership and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | guidance to the international business community; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Among the council's signature achievements are |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the Texas International Trade Initiative, the Export Fellows |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Program, a student scholarship program for international |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | courses, and the development of a statewide District Export |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Council website; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Members of the council have offered expert |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | testimony to the Texas Legislature and to Congress on issues |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | regarding international trade; their outstanding efforts have |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | contributed greatly to the encouragement and support of export |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | expansion activities and the promotion of exports at the local |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | level; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby commend the Texas Camino Real District |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Export Council on its many achievements in expanding the scope of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | export activity in our state and extend congratulations on the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | occasion of its 10th anniversary as an independent council; and, |
|---|
