| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay |

| 3 | 3 | | tribute to Hazel Ryder on the grand occasion of her 100th |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Hazel Ryder was born on February 23, 1909; her |

| 6 | 6 | | father was a frontiersman, and she was married to a Kansas City |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | socialite; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, She is a beloved and esteemed resident of Life |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Care Center of Plano, where she is noted for her courage, her |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | compassion for others, and her wise and engaging personality; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Hazel has lived a most interesting and creative |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | life over the span of a century; her many accomplishments include |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | skating with the Ice Capades; she was a member of Dallas Figure |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Skating Association; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A 100th birthday is a wonderful event, and the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Texas Senate is pleased to join her family and friends in wishing |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Hazel Ryder a wonderful birthday celebration; now, therefore, be |

| 18 | 18 | | it |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby recognize Hazel Ryder as a treasured citizen |
