| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Brazoria County Cavalry for its impressive support |

| 4 | 4 | | of the men and women of the armed forces, veterans, police |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | officers, firefighters, and emergency service responders; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Composed of more than 400 motorcyclists from |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Southeast Texas, the Brazoria County Cavalry provides gratitude |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | and respect to those who serve our state and nation in military |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | and public service; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The members of this exceptional organization show |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | their dedication to those who serve by appearing in force at the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | homecoming of soldiers and at funerals of the fallen, offering |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | support and admiration in times both joyful and solemn; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Brazoria County Cavalry put |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | aside their own interests in the wake of Hurricane Ike to help |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | repair and rebuild a fence in Angleton decorated with crosses |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | representing each soldier killed in Iraq and Afghanistan; their |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | generosity and pride of service embodies the ideals of our state |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and nation; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Brazoria County |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Cavalry on their dedication to the men and women who serve our |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | state and nation and extend to them gratitude and appreciation |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | for their devotion and service; and, be it further |
|---|
