SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 511
WHEREAS, The MillerCoors Brewing Company of Fort Worth is
receiving the Pro Patria Award from the Texas Committee for
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve on March 26, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Operating under the auspices of the United States
Department of Defense, the Employer Support of the Guard and
Reserve works to gain support from businesses whose employees
have been called into active military service by the National
Guard or the Reserves; and
WHEREAS, The organization's Pro Patria Award is named after
the Latin phrase meaning "for one's country," and it is the
highest award offered by a state committee of the Employer
Support of the Guard and Reserve; and
WHEREAS, The brave men and women of the National Guard and
the Reserves and their families make extraordinary sacrifices in
order to keep our country safe from harm, and by demonstrating
exceptional commitment to those employees who are defending our
nation, the MillerCoors Brewing Company is truly deserving of
this prestigious award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
Legislature, hereby congratulate the MillerCoors Brewing Company
of Fort Worth on receiving the Pro Patria Award from the Texas
Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and
commend the company's management and staff for their patriotism
and their dedication to their employees; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for the MillerCoors Brewing Company as an expression of
high regard from the Texas Senate.
