| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the delegation from the Jacksonville Leadership |

| 4 | 4 | | Institute visiting the Capitol on March 25 and 26, 2009, to |

| 5 | 5 | | celebrate Jacksonville Leadership Days; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Jacksonville Leadership Institute is a truly |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | laudable program that endeavors to educate and empower the future |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | leaders of this great state; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The leadership institute is a program of the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce that familiarizes business |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | leaders with the roles and responsibilities of city, county, and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | state government; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Participants have undertaken leadership |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | development activities and have toured local Jacksonville |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | facilities, including hospitals and schools; these dedicated |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Jacksonville residents have also attended school board and city |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | council meetings as part of the program and have visited an array |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of area businesses; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, With the 81st legislative session in full swing, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the Capitol Complex offers these esteemed Texans an opportunity |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | to view their state government at its dynamic best, and it is a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | pleasure to recognize all those associated with this fine program |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | at this time; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, hereby declare March 25 and 26, 2009, Jacksonville |

| 26 | 26 | | Leadership Days and welcome the members of the Jacksonville |

| 27 | 27 | | Leadership Institute to the State Capitol and extend best wishes |
