2	2	WHEREAS, A 50th high school reunion is indeed a noteworthy
3	3	occasion, and the members of the Marble Falls High School Class
4	4	of 1959 are gathering on April 18, 2009, to commemorate this
5	5	memorable milestone; and
6	6	WHEREAS, Many of the classmates have known each other since
7	7	the first grade, and their friendships have grown richer with the
8	8	passing years; as they recount their latest experiences and
9	9	reflect on the trials and triumphs of the past half-century,
10	10	there will no doubt be much laughter, along with some tears, and
11	11	their class song, "You'll Never Walk Alone," and class motto,
12	12	"Knowledge comes, wisdom lingers," will resonate with special
13	13	significance; and
14	14	WHEREAS, Class of 1959 members include Bill Abbott, Carla
15	15	Belknap Campbell, Linda Bertling Brown, Darrell Bible, Patsy
16	16	Bingham DeLuna, Jimmy Bishop, Floyd Boatright, Cordella
17	17	Boultinghouse Wagner, Dorothy Brown, Bonnie Cantwell Cain,
18	18	Margie Carpenter Clark, Calvin Collier, Monte Damron Ryan,
19	19	Dalton Ellebracht, Beverly Farmer Clement, Lucille Fluitt
20	20	Tolson, Betty Forehand Platt, Joan Foster Yost, Madolyn Frasier,
21	21	and Dale Fry; and
22	22	WHEREAS, Former Marble Falls Mustangs also include Karen

35	35	Hambrick, Daniel Vasquez, Mary Warren Ulbricht, and Norman

37	37	WHEREAS, Those attending the reunion remember with deep
38	38	affection their classmates who have passed on: Kendall "Boo Boo"
39	39	Anderson, Clinton Frasier, Lisa Garcia Leal Rodriquez, Hazel
40	40	Jackson Stieler, Eldon Lyda, Linda Mooney Norberg, Pat Sharp
41	41	Jennings, Jimmie Walker, Judy Wilkes Whittington, and Margaret
42	42	Williamson Kilgore; and
43	43	WHEREAS, Through the years, the members of the Class of
44	44	1959 have maintained their strong bonds with the invaluable
45	45	assistance of Madolyn Frasier; the dedicated "keeper of the
46	46	class," Ms. Frasier has preserved fond memories by chronicling
47	47	the important events in the lives of her classmates and their
48	48	families; moreover, she has organized annual reunions and
49	49	regular get-togethers that foster the continuing camaraderie of
50	50	this fine group, so notable that members of other classes have
51	51	sometimes infiltrated Class of 1959 functions to enjoy the fun;
52	52	and
53	53	WHEREAS, The members of the Class of 1959 are outstanding
54	54	citizens and valued members of their communities, and as they
55	55	gather to pay tribute to their alma mater, they acknowledge its
56	56	deep and abiding influence in shaping their lives; at this time,
57	57	it is a pleasure to recognize both the breadth of their
58	58	accomplishments and their moving loyalty to their beloved
59	59	school; now, therefore, be it
60	60	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
61	61	Legislature, hereby congratulate the members of the Marble Falls
62	62	High School Class of 1959 on the occasion of their 50th high
63	63	school reunion and extend to them sincere best wishes for
64	64	continued happiness; and, be it further
65	65	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
66	66	prepared for the class as an expression of high regard from the
67	67	Texas Senate.
