| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Adam Taylor of Troop 924, Sam Houston Area Council of |

| 4 | 4 | | the Boy Scouts of America, who has attained the rank of Eagle |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | Scout, a rank achieved by only four out of every 100 boys in the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | program; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Adam advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching the rank of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout oath and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | promise; he displayed outstanding leadership through the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | planning and execution of a service project that has benefited |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | his community; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, For his Eagle Scout project, Adam organized 31 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | volunteers into work crews and acquired materials, tools, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | plants to construct a permanent shade arbor and picnic tables for |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | the enjoyment of the parishioners and the community of Saint |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Mark's United Methodist Church in Houston; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, Adam has earned the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | admiration and respect of his family, his troop, and his |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | community; he is an exceptional representative of the young |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | people of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Adam Taylor for earning the rank of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great achievement; and, |

| 25 | 25 | | be it further |
