| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize the Living Faith Worship Center in Elgin on the |

| 4 | 4 | | occasion of the grand opening of its place of worship on April 25, |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | 2009; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, On Sunday, April 26, 2009, the church will |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | celebrate its second anniversary; the Living Faith Worship |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Center began on April 15, 2007, with a service at the Holiday Inn |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | in Elgin with seven persons in attendance; the church next met in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the banquet room at the 3H Cattle Company; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Shortly after celebrating their first anniversary |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | as a congregation, members of the Living Faith Worship Center |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | purchased a tract of land in Elgin, and construction soon began |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | for new worship facilities; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In the meantime, the Great Commission Christian |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Center had been meeting since 2004 in various locations around |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the City of Austin and expanding its ministry; by February of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 2009, the two congregations joined their efforts and began |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | meeting as one body named Living Faith Worship Center; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The Living Faith Worship Center ministers |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | faithfully to the spiritual needs of many Christians, and it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | continues to grow and to undertake many worthy projects; the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | grand opening of its new place of worship is a reflection of its |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | enduring commitment to its holy mission; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate the laity and clergy of Living |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Faith Worship Center on the grand opening of its new facilities |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | and extend to them best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as a |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | commemoration of this special day. |
