| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of James Nelson |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Orozco, who died April 21, 2009, at the age of 69; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Jimmy Orozco was born August 1, 1939, in San |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Antonio; he graduated from Brackenridge High School and served |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | his state and country in the Texas Air National Guard; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, He was an exemplary gentleman and was respected |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | for his many accomplishments; known for his integrity, strong |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | character, and generosity, he was an avid outdoorsman and will be |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | remembered for his great sense of humor; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, He was a devout Christian who lived his faith in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | his daily life, and he was a member of the Helotes Independent |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Jimmy Orozco was beloved by his family and many |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | friends and he leaves behind memories that will be deeply |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | treasured by all who were privileged to share in his life; now, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | family of James Nelson Orozco: his wife, Joy Orozco; his |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | daughter and son-in-law, Karen Smith and Larry; his son, Daren |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Orozco; his sister, Yvonne Santos; his grandchildren, Nicholas, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Travis, Austin, Hunter, and Darcy; and his great-grandson, |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Alexander; and, be it further |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
