11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 728
22 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
33 recognize Janise Jackson for earning a Girl Scout Gold Award;
44 this fine young woman is being presented the coveted award by the
55 Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas on May 17, 2009; and
66 WHEREAS, Few receive this distinguished award, the highest
77 level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and
88 WHEREAS, Through the process of earning the Gold Award,
99 girls develop a lifelong commitment to community service and gain
1010 skills that will contribute to their future success; and
1111 WHEREAS, Janise has displayed leadership by designing and
1212 conducting a service project that will have a positive and
1313 lasting effect on her community; and
1414 WHEREAS, By earning the Gold Award, Janise has brought
1515 great honor to herself, her family, her community, and her state,
1616 and she deserves recognition for her accomplishment; now,
1717 therefore, be it
1818 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 81st
1919 Legislature, hereby commend Janise Jackson on earning this
2020 prestigious award and congratulate her on her outstanding
2121 achievement; and, be it further
2222 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2323 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
