| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Boy Scout Troop 399 of Austin, which is honoring 16 of |

| 4 | 4 | | its members as Eagle Scouts at an Eagle Court of Honor on May 17, |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | 2009; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the elite |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | corps of Eagle Scouts; only five out of every 100 Boy Scouts earn |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | this distinguished honor; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Chartered by Tarrytown United Methodist Church, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Troop 399 is fortunate to have so many young men achieve this |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | signal honor, given its rigorous standards and the demands of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | time and dedication needed to fulfill its requirements; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, These outstanding young Scouts have followed the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | principles of the Scout oath and promise and advanced from |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes to become Eagle |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Scouts; they have further completed a service project that |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | required them to exercise their leadership abilities and at the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | same time benefit their community; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The exemplary young men who have realized this |

| 20 | 20 | | cherished goal are Andrew W. Wiewel, James R. Thompson III, |

| 21 | 21 | | Bennett A. Nadeau, Peter J. Teneriello, Stephen A. King, Eli V. |

| 22 | 22 | | Mendoza, Andrew T. Marshall, Wilson T. Bauer, Benjamin K. Lowry, |

| 23 | 23 | | Jonathan O. Box, Roy G. Reyna, Samuel M. Faries, Travis B. Owens, |

| 24 | 24 | | Andrew M. Klitch, Santiago R. Dietche, and Cornelius J. Donovan |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, These exemplary young men have brought honor to |

| 30 | 30 | | Legislature, hereby commend Troop 399 and its members who have |
