A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the disposition of fines for traffic violations
collected by certain municipalities.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 542.402, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:
(b-1) Subsection (b) does not apply to a municipality with a
population of more than 1,000 but less than 1,200 for which part of
the municipal boundary is a river that forms part of the boundary
between two counties.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
