| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 504.3011(a), Transportation Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) License plates issued under Section 504.303: | |
| 15 | 15 | (1) must at a minimum bear a color depiction of the | |
| 16 | 16 | emblem of the appropriate branch of the United States armed forces; | |
| 17 | 17 | and | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) may, on the request of an applicant for the license | |
| 19 | 19 | plates, include the words "Honorably Discharged" for license plates | |
| 20 | 20 | issued to former members of the United States armed forces. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
