                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 18, 2011      TO: Honorable Garnet Coleman, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1767 by Munoz, Jr. (Relating to the enforcement of county subdivision regulations prohibiting more than one residential dwelling on each subdivision lot.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Water Code to authorize a county to adopt a rule to prohibit an owner of a dwelling from building more than one single-family unit on a lot and would create a civil penalty of not more than $200 for a violation. A justice of the peace would be allowed to enforce the penalty. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
