The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code by adding any compound structurally derived from 2-aminopropanal by substitution at the 1-position with any monocyclic or fused-polycyclic ring system to Penalty Group 2 of the Texas Controlled Substances Act. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011. The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the State from this bill.
